Thats a very nice room you got there. Parents reasonably well off or is it your own house? :P

I am in a lucky position (one I am thankful for!) with regards to my parents, but most of the technology in my room I have bought myself.

You don't have to be well off to have a place looking like that. Do it yourself and save some cash and keep it tidy.

This is very true. Keeping things simple can be surprisingly cheap.

Indeed, you can do it for very little using Ikea for the furniture and B&Q/Homebase etc for paint and other bits and bobs and a local carpet fitter etc. Unless you've fitted carpets before it's a good idea to get someone who knows what they are doing to do that, besides you hardly save anything by fitting it yourself, as the places you buy from (if it's a smaller local place) rarely charge much for fitting, usually they quote with fitting as a matter of course.

Then you just keep it clean and tidy, which does not require great wealth or special powers :D

I was talking more about the size of the room. Thats a decent size room for what is not the master bedroom (Im guessin his parents have the master bedroom).

It looks pretty average to me, the master bedroom is usually little different in size to the second one anyway, at least in the houses I grew up with.

The house I grew up in, you couldn't really say which was actually the master bedroom, the main front and back rooms were near identical size, the only difference was the front bedroom had a bay window, the back bedroom did not. The 3rd bedroom, a tiny box room was later extended and became the biggest bedroom in the house with ensuite bathroom in the end.

Indeed.. besides my parents live in a smallish terraced house and all three bedrooms are about as big as that it depends on the type of house a lot of the time, whereas our semi has one bigger room and two smaller ones.
