*** Desk and Room Gallery***

Do they have big holes in the back to enable the air to move? If they do it's worth making sure you leave a good 6" behind them to let them breath. Also i don't think they are magnetically shielded so I might be a bit worried having them that close to your PC. don't want magnetic interference doing bad things to your pride and joy!!!

Have a feeling that there sealed, quite a lot of older speakers are.

Sealed aye. I was thinking that, but my dad said it would be fine next to the comp. There is quite a lot of room between the comp and speaker. I'll get some pics up tomorrow when mummy has tidied! ;)

Ste, help please possibly....where did you get this desk and what is it called?
I've ordered a very similar looking desk called a "Denver" but it has a door on the cupboard and no centre shelf. I was wondering if you could give me the internal dimensions of the cupboard on your desk as i want to order a new system and the desk will only be delivered a few days before xmas....no time to measure it up and get the system built and know that it will fit in there! :(

very atmospheric photos samuelc, but can't actually see what you have in there!!

Nice paper though, who is she?

Thought it looked a sweet set up and wanted to see more of it.

Just seen the comment at the bottom re the missus, so I guess that's her paper is it????

Thought I'd post mine up now that i've finally tidied the room post build/mod. Only took about a month or so to get round to getting it sorted, and still finding bits of braiding and heatshrink cut offs around the place.

Sweet mod, looks like something from robot wars. Is it loud with such an open case? I can't get used to a PC now unless it's almost silent, does my nut!

Got back home yesterday so thought it would be a good idea to sort out everything. :)

Can't be bothered moving wardrobe and everything just to put the speakers else where only to have to move them again in a month or so. Seriously need a new desk though hate it, if only I was at home more then I would.

Cheers for the feedback guys.

with the fans turned down it's pretty quiet. I've got a fenrir heatsink but changed the fan from the PWM type that came with it to the 2000rpm model of the gentle typhoon which is nearly inaudible.

When I game I turn everything up to max to keep the temps in check and to be honest it is noisy, but nothing like as noisy as the gaming!!!!!!

The noisiest fan is the RAM cooler. I actually modded in a fan controller as I couldn't stand the whine of it at full tat. Not actually convinced the RAM cooler is needed with case anyway as the downdraft from the main top fan is pretty substantial.

I really can't recommend this case enough, there's been a lot of crap talked about it re dust etc, but all this has come from people who don't actually own it. It's a fantastic case with great modding potential if you're willing to think "outside the box" a bit
