To save making a new thread I figure I'll ask in this one...
Anyone have any tip on good places to find nice desks?
As you can, my desk is a complete and utter mess and I want a fresh start. However I am a student and want something thats nice, but doesn't break the bank.

Scary, I had that desk with the exact same layout and chest of drawers on same side.
This desk isn't too good for a left hander though, see you have your keyboard/lcd on the right hand side. It's kinda curved for a right hander so I give it up. Good desk though I stood on it to paint my ceiling and it has a 15KG PC on and a 10KB subwoofer and I'm 13 stone.

I like the look of the Argos desk but obviously way too much money
I'm not looking for all the shelving and things, just a big desk surface to fit all my stuff on. This desk is a bit too small, and crappy looking.

Yeh mine seems very strong. I have mine setup with my desktop on the long side and the netbook on the shorter side, which is what I was always after really. I was going to build my own, then my Dad pointed out I could just get a modular setup, so I did.
Still got a fortune to spend in here to get it exactly how I want it, I want a new printer, another 28", new keyboard/mouse and a server or NAS.

+1 and I've only been away from Uni a year... my room looked nothing like that!
I only finished 3 years ago myself and my room still doesnt look as good as that

It was an absolute bargain (LG 42" 720p plasma). An ex-display at the Purple Shirts for £80. Full warranty. It broke, I got a new one.
And the mug says "free mug".
