With any flat pack furniture it will always last longer if you glue it all together. Mine's not totally glued together anyway, the centre corner piece lifts out and then the big support for the corner piece just removes from the cupboard and the drawers.
I wouldn't slide it under the basic desk if I were you, the corner I have is the perfect shape and size, and it mounts straight onto the sides of the drawers and the cupboards. They're essentially seperate units and the corner piece and it's support just mounts straight onto the side of them.
The corner unit needs two end sections for it to stand up stable, just pick the ones you prefer from the modular collection and on the underside of the corner section you attach 4 L shape brackets that screw the whole lot together, its easy enough to do mate however you will need an extra pair of hand to hold it in position whilst you screw the brackets on its abit fiddlyhi mate, see your from the toon as well, lol just wanted to ask what colour is that desk as it looks like the beach and not the oak colour. I am after the very same setup to yours .
how is the corner attached to the side units and do you need to do anything to the side units to fit them thanks or even a picture would be helpfull
do you think if i got the basic desk and a 2 drawer filer and dont put the top on the 2 drawer filer it would go under the basic desk of the right hand side so it acts as the top ?
Seems like as good a place as anywhere to ask, any decent headphone stands knocking about?
I know competitors can't be linked but the names of the stands can
Got a pair of Grado sr60i's today and they deserve so much more than to be dumped on top of a scruffy desk.
The drawers have pre drilled holes in so the back supports on the corner unit simply screw into the side drawers with the screws provided, its a breeze to do mate as long as you have a friend to help hold it in place whilst you use the screwdriverThe underside of the corner unit does not have pre drilled holes for screws when you come to attach the L shape brackets so screwing them on is abit harder.
