And I have tidied the wires, or tried to. There's tons of cables stashed down the left hand side of the desk against the wall :p

It's an Ikea Mikael (I've got one :)) ...They don't sell that one any more unfortunately

They do have one that's very similar - just has drawers on one side, can't remember for sure what that one's called now though... Jonas I think :)

I decided to take the NZXT LED Cables out of the PC when puting the new fans in (cheers Khemist ;)) and thought id see what they looked like just draped over the back of the monitors (1 Blue and 1 White):

No LED

White LED Only

And some different angles - both LEDs

Picture quality isnt great, so not the best representation, and they are all on the brightest of the three settings, but it really does give a nice ambiance when sat at the PC in the dark - I might just keep em there :P

LED's look great to me, its a good idea to have a light of some sort behind your monitors when using them in the dark as it takes all the strain off your eyes, ive herd blue is the best colour to use, not sure if thats true though.

tb are you a fan of homefront?

I'm not really that demanding about my games as long as theyre fun and dont have tedious stuff like maps that promote spawn camping, and theres not a problem with lots of cheaters.

Ive read some reviews think I'll get it, but comments from the players are pretty unaminous that its not great.

Thanks chaps :)

I really like homefront to be honest I think most the gripe is with single player (which I haven't played)

Yes the graphics aren't the best and yes there are sniper / spawn campers and hackers - but which game doesn't have these?

At least now with dedicated server files and proper admin tools these can be addressed and IMO gives good potential for mods and clan scrims ;)

6500k white is the best as it's the same colour temperature as natural mid-day sun light. If you calibrate your monitors properly, then use other colours like bright blues/reds/greens as bias backlighting, it throws off your perception of the on screen colours, making your calibration pointless (at least for the purpose of colour accuracy), although it looks 'nice'. For gaming it probably won't matter that much though, and a warmer white feels a little less artificial in the late hours.

Will upload pics of my rig when my 6950 and my cable tidy kit arrives as right now its like a sergio leone film.
