Hi Everyone...

Would love some advice regarding custom desk builds (as i notice quite a few people with custom desks in this thread :))

Planning on just getting a work top and sticking some legs on it...

however I question (and worry) about its potential stability...

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10105290 <-- Standard leg,

or maybe - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40162496 <-- free stand storage - but would a screw be suitable to hold it in place?

or maybe even a trestle? http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80150095

Again - question about stability...

BLAH decisions decisions...

Here is my updated desk.

why the 2 PCs may i ask?
and are those the non-LED version of the monitor.
if so, what settings are you currently using?

The second PC is one i have built for my GF, but at the moment i am using it for surfing the net and office work, as it is les power hungry than my main one.

The monitors are the BenQ G2222HDL LED running at a resolution of 5976x1080

I have these with http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70162490, they come with little plastic nobbly bits to stick on top to reduce movement. I have my computer case, monitor ect all on top and haven't noticed it move once. I can quite easily push myself forwards and backwards in my chair on carpet without movement of the desk, if that helps.

i know a lot of people like using 3 screens, but i dont see the appeal really, it looks like your looking through a letterbox

Real crap pics, but I tried with what I had on me :p

A bit on the black side, yes. Although I love the IKEA Galant stuff when it's all together like that, I'm thinking of a change up back to lighter stuff. Trying to keep black wood dust free for more than a couple of days is like beating you face on a stone wall. Impossible.

Kinda thinking of going back to traditional light office style straight desk and a separate TV stand, although I love the current way its setup as I can easily spin my chair to game, then spin back to OCUK. :p

Any suggestions?

If pics suck too much, here's a sort of room setup:

I'm assuming that was sprayed on using a stencil? If so, was it custom made or did you buy it from somewhere? Looks fantastic, would love something like that in my room!

Also, why is there a huge lack of common sense in picture threads? If you're quoting someone, don't quote all the ******* images. Snip the ones you're not talking about!!!!!
