Damn I always wanted some Klipsch speakers, but no one ever seemed to stock them over here.

PM5.1 had a reputation of the amps dieing in em, some peoples were fine but some people had to replace them a lot from what I've seen.

Z5500's are best bet for PC.

naro, what's that below Klipsch control module?

That's the Creative DDTS-100 decoder.

I realised the Klipsch is not available in the UK. I believe you may be able to find Klipsch Promedia Ultra 2.0 on the favourite auction site.

Mine is the Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 which only comes in 110V version and that's why I had to buy a step-down transformer for it to work in Singapore, which uses the same 230V mains as the UK. I bought it from the favourite auction site in US and had it shipped (literally shipped :D ) for US$100 and it took 10 weeks to reach my doorstep!!!

Yup, they are known to blow due to insufficient cooling. But the person i bought from repaired these spoilt speakers and mod them with a cooling fan inside the sub to keep it cool. And its been working great in a tropical country like Singapore which is summer throughout the year.

managed to get the xbox to run at 1920x1080 via VGA which im also chuffed about :D
i do need to calibrate the monitor though

It'll be scaling down unfortunately, Xbox will scale up to 1920x1080 and the monitor back down to 1680x1050.

I could set 1920x1080 on my old 20" screen but obviously it didn't actually display that.

Saying that it looks very nice :)

oh yeah i know its scaling it down, but it looks better than using 1280x1024 widescreen to me
i didnt expect the monitor to accept the signal, thats why im chuffed about it :D

ive come from a 17" and its a lot better for photoshop aswell, so much more space to work with
