Prob not right forum for this, but there is the desk gallery, so best one I could find.

I have a space for a desk

93cm x 74 cm.

Now having a joiner make a desk for me, so it fits. But what things in a desk are good or people find useful. I'm having the monitor on a raised ledge to give more space and have it at a better height, and the case under the desk, on a raised ledge (RAVEN 3 case, and carpet don't play well together)

Having shelves put in high for bits and bobs.

Have a boogie bug mat that fits, just.

My query is: what other things, gimmicks, ideas do people love about there desks. As if I'm getting one made, then might as well include extras.

Thanks in advance.

Well, maybe cable routing?
A pull out or swivel tray/shelf for drink with coaster to protect the wood?

Cable Routing holes are always a good idea. Also it can be quite nice to attach an extension cable to the underside of the table. That way you only have one cable going off from the desk to the socket, but loads of things plugged in under the desk.

Thanks for replies.

Cable routing and space for a 6 bar sockets is a good idea.

Will add straps to it, to cable tie things to as well.

Thanks all.
