Just kitting out my new study and I was wondering if any of you fine gentleman could recommend any PC desks. Either shops with good stock or specific desks would be great. Nothing to pricey tho, sub-100 if possible! Thanks!

I bought a huge desk a while back. Found out later it was called a Jerker...

Still, it's a wicked sturdy desk. Maybe a little too industrial/office look but lots of space. You can get them off auction sites for hardly anything.

Jerker, heh

Anyway I have this from Argos and it's great. It's an Avebury: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6197096.htm.

Make one. I did, and it's easy. I don't have any special talent for woodworking, and only used powertools to make it. I made my plan, bought some hardwood, cut it to size into the L shape I wanted to fit against two walls, and sanded down the edges. I then applied some dark oak stain, and secured it to the wall using corner braces.

I now have a legless 'floating' desk at the optimal height for my chair, which has plenty of space for the all the things I use a desk for. It doesn't have any drawers or shelves, it's just a simple surface, but for me it's perfect. My LL71 sits neatly under one section, as does printer, sub-woofer, and reserator in the corner, and I still have footspace in front of my screen.

Total cost: ~£18.

I bought a big cheap one from staples or something, its just basicaly a desk with large worksurface, good for multiple monitors and working on.

As said before many a time, make your own:

There is another section of desk about that size again to the right of the picture, coming off at 90º filling the corner of the room.

Got the Frederik workstation from Ikea here.

Picture of it with my rubbish on...

Same one I've got. Didn't think much of how the shelves fit onto the beams, or main part fixing (4 screws) Same colour. Got 2 pairs of Hi-Fi speakers and centre, plus a amp. Would fit the AV amp too but bottom shelf is on the first rung.
