If i have put this in the wrong thread apologies.

I am going to build myself a budget desk using a bit of kitchen worktop 150-200cm and legs from B&Q or other similar place!

My question is do i need to add to a support structure between the legs to esssentially tie them together? Or will free standing on the 4 legs be ok? I am willing to screw the back into the wall if required!

I await the knowledge of the forum.

You can do what ever you want, only you can decide what is strong enough,i built mine from some bits of wood and reused stuff on my old work station,as long as the ventilation is good

I've bought pre-made table legs from a DIY store. They just need 4 screws in the top to attach them. As long as the tabletop is sturdy enough and you're not putting anything massively heavy on it, you shouldn't need any bracing.

Best way go to a DIY store pick up a cheap light worktop and buy some brackets to old it to the wall , and then go to a Ikea to pick up 5 legs really cheaply and your your done made mine under £60 with a splash back and all
