Desk

Which desk?
Where from if you know?

From the office furniture centre. I got it new - they came out and delivered and built it for me. It's got a very sturdy thick metal frame, and it's a fair bit bigger than the table you're looking at using. It comes with a separate pedestal too.

It's basically the same type of desk you'd see in offices throughout the country, but I made sure it was the sturdiest type, and that it was held together by thick steel, not dowels or chipboard.

I paid, I think £180 for it delivered and installed, which according to the searching about that I did was a fantastic price for what I got.

I use an Ikea table for my PC. It's a bit more substantial than the one in the OP but it works really well and gives me loads of room. I hate small desks/tables and don't get me started on those stupid fold out tray things

I have the bigger version of that desk. Dead easy to put together (just put the legs in the right place and screw on). Looks brand new, but then again I keep things pristine generally. Might as well go for it, cheap and very cheerful.

One does not just buy a desk! One has to make one themselves.

Buy a nice bit of real cherry/oak/pine kitchen surface and cop it up to the required shape and size, then use MDF/metal poles/wood to make a few shelves and legs, attach it all to the wall and you are done.

That reminds me, the one issue with real wood is it needs topping up with French polish every so often. :( Oh, and that it's significantly more than £25...

Ive used a couple of these desks myself, both the bigger and smaller versions. Fine for the price but both of mine have bowed over time. Only a little, and still useable. Just depends how much this might annoy you...
