Desktop animated background

lol. theres a major bug in vista when using dual core cpus with agp graphics. It either wont install the graphics card or you have to uninstall a cpu core. Beleive me if there was a solution I would be on vista. Its not about the computer speed its about the bugs.

I've had (actually got rid of them last week) 2 computers with dual core and AGP with Vista Ultimate. Both worked flawlessly and had done since Vista RTM was available.

I'm pretty sure when I had vista Beta2 I had it running on an AMD X2 3800+ with an AGP X800XT PE without problem - but maybe it was my 3700+

pointless faff, just creates problems where there shouldn't be any

btw, they're gif files, no such thing as animated jpeg (not trying to belittle)

yeah noticed that after I wrote it. but didnt think anyone would be picky enough to point it out :p

might try to reinstall vista this evening. had a shed load of uni work this weeka nd havent had a chance to stop. Will let people know how it goes

I can't get it to work as a wallpaper, it just stays as my normal one?

was cause i didnt have the "show desktop icons" selected on desktop.

right click on desktop > "Arrange Icons By" > "Show Desktop Items" make sure its ticked and it should work :)

other then that make sure that directx drivers and gfx drivers are up to date as these have also been known to cause problems
