desktop hdd plug-in . . .

a while ago I remember seeing a product here on the forum where you could simply plug an IDE HDD into a thingamyjig on your desk (like a card reader) I have a load of IDE HDD's that I need to interrogate and this would be really useful - any ideas please???

Like above but EIDE, avail as USB 2.0 or ESATA (for SATA HDD)

cheers - great for SATA but no good for IDE - the only thing I can find is a cable gadget - guess that will have to do.

Thats why I stated it was SATA in my example but avail for EIDE.

i would just get an external enclosure, you can leave the case off and plug the HDDs in when you like
