Desktop icons.

Could someone please help me.
Is there any way i can remove the gray blocks that the text is in on my icons?
Heres my desktop.

Id just like to see text and not text in a gray block if you know what i mean?

If you have web items on your desktop (right click>properties>desktop>Customise Desktop>Web) you may need to disable them in order to stop the coloured box from showing up behind the text.

I had this problem but when i removed the web items off the desktop it sorted itself out

I had lock web items checked when i unchecked it boooooosh the retangles have gone! get in there! cheers!

winkey + pause/break, advanced, settings, scroll to bottom.. -use drop shadows for desktop items
