Desktop randomly booting into bios

There doesn't seem to be any reason for it, I now turn it off as I thought that leaving it on standby was causing the problem but that's obviously not the case. If I turn it back on again with the power button it's usually OK, this can happen once in a couple of months or several times a week.
What could be causing it and is it fixable.

How old is the computer? Could be a battery that’s getting old and needs replacing?

Fault with the keyboard causing it to enter the BIOS randomly? Try another keyboard to rule that out.

The computer isn't that old, maybe 2 and a half years.
I'd never considered a fault with the keyboard maybe that is something to try.
