DESPERATE HELP !!

If you are using the mount that looks like it attaches to the mobo with 4 bolts , then it looks like a candidate for shorting.

x = Nylon or cardboard washer
- = CPU mount
~ = Motherboard
¬ = Backplate

Try this ( layer order ) :

x
¬

You want to isolate the mount from the mobo.

Also check around it when in place that it is not touching any capacitors or any other mobo circuitry.

Mark, A big thankyou you hit the nail on the head I never once suspected the bracket to be the problem after all it was part of the kit :s But I am gratefull for your help and others that have spent the time to reply and lead me in the right direction
