Details of new 64c128t Epyc (Rome) emerge

Outrageous from AMD, all hail competition. Lets hope they don't pull an Intel though in a few years time :p.

I think we can do with some AMD dominance for a while, Intel still have far too much of it.
Fully agree. I'm quite looking forward to AMD resting on their laurels as they face zero competition across all market sectors. Roll on the price gouging!

"AMD 7nm EPYC Rome 64 Core, 128 Thread CPU ES Specs & Performance Benchmark Leaked
Let’s first start with the 64 core part, the entry for which has unfortunately since been taken down but luckily we’ve managed to snag all the details beforehand. This chip was ranked 3rd on the database’s Arithmetic performance leaderboard before it was taken down, beating every other CPU entry ever recorded on the database except for two.

AMD 7nm EPYC Rome 32 Core, 64 Thread CPU ES Specs & Performance Benchmark Leaked

Moving on to the 32 core part. The entry for this part can still be found on the SiSoft Sandra Database."
