Detecting second monitor

I have an issue where my new pc is not detecting my second monitor.

The primary is the DGM 27" and the second is an old Dell 22". The Dell has a DVI and VGA connection but when I go to detect the monitor, it does not appear on the display drop down (it only has the DGM as 'TBD'?

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be?

I have the DGM plugged in using DVI to the graphics card and the Dell into the motherboard.

Philip Perfect - I ran the monitor off my laptop the other week and it seemed to work fine.

Sounds like the onboard GPU is disabled, can you connect the Dell to the 7950 as well?

If not, go into BIOS and enable the onboard GPU. Be sure to install the drivers for it as well.

Thanks for the suggestion Orcvader but I just checked and the onboard GPU was enabled.

Strange thing is it seems to be detecting a second monitor via VGA, but the other monitor is connected by DVI-D.

Can you see the Intel GPU in device manager? Tried setting the second display up with the Intel Control Center?

If you have Lucid Virtu installed could also try uninstalling that?

And have you tested both monitors connected to the 7950 together?
