Determining the 'phone number for a BT line

There used to be a number you could call from a BT 'phone to determine what the 'phone number for that line was. I believe that it may have given some other QoS information as well . . .

Does anyone know if such a service still exists and what the number to call is?

That's the one and you get some line test facilities are you've used it.

Was very handy using this number, saved me £30 to 'set up' a line that was already there!!
