Of those of us who have played (and still play) Deus Ex, who's looking forward to Deus Ex 3?
I know I am. I absolutely loved the original, and I still play it on a regular basis to this day. It's without a doubt the best story driven FPS in my opinion, and while Deus Ex 2 was a flop (:() Im hoping that Deus Ex 3 will make me smile as much as the original did.
From what i've read, it looks like it's going to take place before the events of the original Deus Ex, and if so, it should be good. Im really hoping you get to play as JC again, and go through his life before he gets to UNATCO.
Deus Ex 3 is probably my most anticipated game at the moment. Probably the only thing gaming related, thats made me smile this year. :)

Thoughts?

You sir, are a genious! Playing as Paul would be even better actually, since Paul was such a big influence on the ending you got in Deus Ex, (he was a great character) Being able to play as him in Deus Ex 3 would be a superb idea.

True, I suppose thats the best approach. Expect nothing, then at least you'll get something, rather than, expect a masterpiece and end up disapointed :P

I remember first loading up Deus Ex and instantly realised what an amazing game it was, absolutely loved it. Deus Ex 2 on the other hand though was a big disappointment over the original in my opinion.

I was a huge fan of both. Completed the first one probably about a dozen times, and the second one a good 3/4 times. Loved them both.

Can't wait for the third :)

id'e love to be able to complete the DX2, but after so much time, knowing how bad it turned out (and having being spoiled with so many years of DX1 gameplay) I dont think I have the patience to go through DX2 :(

Crikey. As a big fan of DX1 shouldn't you owe it to yourself to experience DX2 yourself and form your own opinion?

iv'e played DX2, about half way, then stopped simply out of disapointment. I just didnt feel like a true DX experience, and certinly did not feel like a sequel to one of the best games ive ever played

you should really consider completing it man, the best parts of the game come after you leave the MJ12 facility and start in Hong Kong. DX is an incredibly long game, and so immersive :D

Sense tells me to keep my hopes down, but I'm itching with anticipation.

I can't wait, and if it's anything like Deus Ex 2, I'm going to be so annoyed.

Indeed. Don't make the mistake I made with BioShock :*(

(though I guess BioShock was relatively okay compared to the horror of Deus Ex 2)

Relatively ok?

I absolutely LOVED Bioshock. Easily one of the best things I wasted time on in many moons. What didn't you like?

The general theme of Bioshock never really rubbed me the right way tbh, one day I might take a proper look at it.

Please do.

About Deus Ex 2. I thought it was really good, a bit easy, a bit short, less modding/augmenting, but certiainly worth playing. Towards the latter half of the game the story gets better, and I really liked the black market canisters. Bot Domination was classy
