Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Finished this today, brilliant game. shame I hadn't realised killing the guys in the prologue affected the achievement for going through the game without killing anyone :(

Oh well, I'll do that next time :p

Just completed this, turned out to be an epic game in the end looking forward to the next one already!! :)

Picked this up for £29.99 minus the missus £7 nectar points :)
Loving it so far, as i loved the original back in the day.

Struggling to get into this game.....The GFX, voice acting are pretty terrible plus the gameplay feels a little 2001 not 2011. Not giving up on it yet just not that impressed....

P.s The original is one of my favourite all time games.

Played this some more and it just gets worse....Decided to throw in the towel  it's just my opinion and maybe I'm just too much of a casual gamer these days. The A.I/animation of the enemies is laughable, GFX are dull, main character looks/sounds like some poor Keanu Reeves impersonator. The action is boring when it does kick off, and the stealth is **** poor compared to splinter cell.

Thank goodness for LoveFilm rental....I've moved onto L.A noire, now this is a fantastic game....played it for 3 hours straight last night and couldn't pull myself away. You can tell the production value put into this game is a million times better than Fail Ex ;)

To me it sounds like you prefer production values and visuals over gameplay. Or more simply, style over substance.

Fair enough, if thats what you like, but none of things you don't like were ever a problem for me. Clearly Deus Ex is not for you. Best game I've played this year thus far, especially once you leave Detroit.

Enjoy LA Bore and its endless chases, poor gun fights, basic detective work and uninspiring story. Facial animation and acting aside, the game was a letdown.

LA Noire was a huge letdown, and the interviews were hugely WTF inducing at times.

I'm not going to argue that Deus Ex doesn't have weak graphics, weak animation, weak AI, but it does have a solid story, an immersive world and interesting stealth.

I don't really understand the love for Splinter Cell's stealth. Don't get me wrong, some of the Splinter Cell games are great, but the stealth is so clinical in that game. There's no fluidity to it. You're either invisible or you're screwed, and the rest is just timing.

+1. I never really rated the stealth aspects of Splinter Cell games tbh. I think the Stealth in DEHR is excellent though.

I'd agree with how graphics etc are, im usually pretty graphic orientated really into visuals etc, but imo deus ex doesn't bother me one bit, I find the graphics and animations go great with how the world and surroundings are supposed to be, dark and gritty.

Most games these days I can't get into at all, but this game I've had no issue and not had to think once that it's a chore to play, and this is coming from a pretty hardcore call of duty player!

Completed this today on hard, completed all of the side quests as well. Really enjoyed the game, one of the best if not the best I've played this year, especially liked the story.

just finished this too, fantastic game, felt better paced than almost anything i can remember playing, story felt adult, with consequences and moral quandaries that truly made me think about my own personal ideals and how in many ways they conflicted with the greater good.

The endings too were brilliant (don't worry) focusing more on the global effects of the choices you have made, rather than how it affects you or those you have known in the story. Very appropriate for a game that asks you to take decisions based on more than what simply benefits you, either as Adam or as the player.

If it wasnt for technical issues and a few niggles this game would be one of the best i have ever played, instead it is more a standard setter for modern video game storytelling.

Bravo Eidos!

Yeah got it Fluke. To you know how I can pay by PayPal on said site though? It says they accept PayPal but when I go to the checkout there isn't an option to select it and I don't really want to be putting my Debit Card info for 1 transaction.

Edit:

Put my card detail in, go to finish it and get:

I agree with you im finding it a real drag, and that Hacking is well, hacking me off, big dissapointment
LA NOIR though just as bad in my opinion

Just finished this. Most enjoyable game I've played in a long time. Some of the locations we're brilliant. Reminded me of Blade Runner.
