Deus Ex: Human Revolution

I went ps3 just because I have 50+ games on Xbox and only a few on ps3. I prefer the 360 controller but I will get used to ps3 one...

9/10 on Eurogamer - it looks good. Jeff Gerstmann also tweeted that a review should be up on Giantbomb today.

I'm genuinely surprised, as I thought this would be rubbish.

It certainly seems to be having that effect on a lot of people, TBH I'm new to the franchise but am loving the augmentations - reminds me of Ghost in the shell, does anyone know if the weapons and extra mission in the augmented edition can be found throught the main game in the standard?

Ps3 v.s Eggsbox 360 comparison:

Pretty surprised actually, around 90% of the time the games looks better on the 360 if it's a multi-plat.

Not if the PS3 was the lead platform, which I heard it was for this.

Though I never see much difference in these things.

Only really noticeable difference is the levels of shadows and overall brightness.

Some of the 360 shots look a bit blurry though.

I never know what I'm suppose to prefer here, the PS3 shots looks sharper but it almost looks like the contrast is whacked right up. Personally I prefer the colours of the 360 version albeit it is blurrier

I'll probably get the PS3 copy just as I need to up my trophy count

360 wins comfortably

Got it! The gameplay seems pretty good but I'm not even an hour in yet. Gfx wise its canny but not great, seems to be lacking in the AA department. The stun guns etc are good fun and the takedowns are pretty cool since you can choose to kill or knock out the person.

The Giant Bombcast this week is worth a listen - lots of chat about this game. It sounds like some of the game mechanics aren't great, and the AI isn't up to much, but the writing and storyline are strong and the experience as a whole is good.
