Device for media playback

Yeah the amlogic box I got works ok but definitely needs another remote. I went with the a 'G10S 2.4GHz Wireless Air Mouse Remote' which is doing alright for £7.
Box seems to die off now and again, but still for £30 can't complain too much!
 
Yes the advantage of this over the cheap is till codec support, and netflix/YouTube licences etc.

I presume anyway. But then it's £100.
 
Thanks to everyone who has input to this thread.
Ive been looking recently and this has steered me in the direction of the Zidoo.
Will let you know how I get on with it.
 
Amazon Firestick + Plex server on PC does everything I need. Amazon's remotes are what attracted me to their hardware in the first place - can't get much smaller/simpler.

I used to have a zidoo H6 . hardware wise it was excellent but it had very little support and ultimately had a lot of issues with it

it cost a lot however I ended up with an Nvidia shield and have no regrets.

Hmmm, what sort of support was lacking and what were the issues you experienced ?
