OK so I have the Devil HDX Sound Card and while using windows media player and media player classic all is good , but when I try to play a video file on VLC I have no sound at all ...nothing, any reason this should be please ?

thanx :)

Is it as simple as a problem with compatibility with sample rate i.e. does it work with everything setup for 48KHz/16bit?

Quite strange to be honest, I had no trouble with the HDX and VLC and I use VLC for my video viewing exclusively.

Yeah I much prefer watching films and other video files with VLC , but now it seems as though I'm stuck with Windows Media Player

It's most likely to be some kind of a set up problem or maybe even a Windows problem brought on by an update.

I dunno to be honest Rids....I just went to play some BF4 and I now have no sound on that either, in fact I just went to reinstall the drivers from the CD...but now its saying no PCIe Device found lol

I wonder if there is an issue with the PCIe slot its in, I have it in the PCIEX1_3 slot, if im right the card will go in any of the PCIE slots , ie x1, x4, x8 and x16 ?
