Devil May Cry (Netflix)

I hope they don't mess it up, I love a bit of DMC.

There was actually a so-so to decent anime made way back in in 2007, I don't think it was super accurate to the lore but it was a fun one and done sort of watch to my memory.

Already not sold on the VA unfortunately

Watched first 3 episodes and the soundtrack they've used reminds me of my teen years. Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach etc.

Visually it's had some decent fight scenes so far.

Just finished the series and was pretty impressed by the animation and story. I haven't really played the game but I felt it was still a worthy representation.

Pretty visually, some good action scenes.

Beyond that I don't have anything positive to say about it, the old 2007 anime is vastly superior and I considered that flawed. It painfully injects real world American and western politics/religious stigma into a franchise that didn't have any of that, and I found Dante lacking compared to his Japanese/game representation. It felt more like a dodgy Invincible spin off with a shallow DMC skin than anything else, as a fan of the games I found it very disappointing personally.

If you're not a fan of the franchise or don't know much about it, I can see it being an enjoyable watch however.

Finished it and agree with above, his full 'demon mode' looked bad too, wish Netflix would stop going down the route of adding CGI models when the rest is mainly 2d.

yeah i kinda agree, it looked kinda pants but overall i still liked the art. I dont know anything about the game so couldnt really gauge it properly with the original material.
