Devolo dLAN 200AV or 200AVPlus?

Hi all,

I want to get some homeplugs, however my problem is that in my room there is only one plug socket (RIDICULOUS!!), so I was initially looking at the dLAN 200AVPlus, as they are designed to plug into the socket as then you can run an extension lead from it.

However would I be better saving my money and just getting the 200AV and plugging that into an extension lead? Or does this cause a drop of quality?

Keen to hear from people who know about homeplugs.

You could get a 1 gang to 2 gang socket converter, like this (hopefully its ok to link to). Very easy to fit if your confident enough to do so. Plug the homeplug into 1 of the sockets and the extension into the other.

Thanks for the link, but it's rented accomodation so I'd rather not do anything like that.

I've gone for the 200 AVPlus in the end, £75 new for two of them.
