US: Dexter: New Blood

He didn't plunge the syringe. Thought it was a good episode.

Edit:
Regarding Kurt. My wife asked me if she missed something previously. This episode we see him take the girl to his prison thing and kill her later on, but we can't remember if there was a reveal to this killers identity. I knew and guessed it was him when we see him with his white mask on in a previous episode as I recognised his breathing sound. Was it a case of the writers knew the audience would know by now it would be Kurt as the main killer this season?

I’m enjoying this although it’s obvious Dexter is going to die and Harrison will take over.

My bet is that Dexter teaches him the code and Harrison rebels, killing him.

Thought the latest episode was pretty much all over the place. Things that didn't make sense, things that were pretty laughable, things that were ultra convenient. On top of that I think the makers were either terrible at filming/cutting the bit in the drug guys house or purposefully trying to mislead.

Aren't they in talks for more new seasons of Dexter? Could have sworn I've read that.

The only logical way New Blood makes sense for me is if he does indeed die, will they have the guts to do that tho? I'm not so sure

Well it's called new blood... that would suggest that Harrison is very much the new focus of the show.

I think they'd kill him if the pay off was satisfying, although how they do this with this story arc (beside Harrison kill him) is questionable. Bautista ftw?

or dexter kills him then himself at the bear cave

New Blood could just mean New victims and new blood slides for his collection

Latest episode was decent. Things are picking up nicely with a few threads progressing.

Can’t say I care for Dexter’s bird and her story arc but the whole Harrison > killer > Dexter triangle looks to be interesting.

I lol’d at the line “my instincts aren’t what they used to be. Too many ******* tuna sandwiches”.

"I don't need Jim, I need Dexter Morgan"

God damn this is a good show. Great episode this recent one and I can sort of see where it's going but then again, there has been a few curve balls thrown throughout the previous seasons so I will keep an open mind and go with the flow.

Yeah, really enjoying the show. It might be sloppy in places, but that line at the end of the recent episode was superb.

Being stuck at home I’ve re-watched this season so far and whilst it’s much slower than the old school Dexter, it’s a definite return to form.

There’s a slight change to the cinematography in places (panning shots that they never really used in the original) but the narration and acting from Michael C Hall is top drawer.

I smile whenever Dexter acts dumb and his dark passenger immediately reveals that he knows the truth. Case in point when Dexter was talking to Kurt and says “we’ll she said that your son was a teenager….”, kurt responds “he’s not a teenager”, Dexter says “oh I didn’t know” and the dark passenger immediately says over the top “I knew”. :D

My one criticism… It’s starting to feel a bit too small-town at times, so hopefully things start getting a bit more hectic. He’s got the local police wrapped up (for obvious reasons with his bird) and it feels a bit like he’s untouchable because of his reputation. Beyond Harrison causing a scene, he’s not really seen any sticky situations.

Great episode that.
When he opened that envelope and it revealed a metal screw thing. My first though was the furnace thing. Later Dexter googled it and I was right. yay. I like the way Kurt is playing him along.

Smarter than me (and i accept i'm stupid when it comes to films), but i was just like "why the **** has someone given him a screw" :D

I don't normally think like that in films or TV shows, I just go with the flow until a reveal, but I was intrigued to as why he received a bolt/screw thing. I didn't notice the scar on Kurts sons leg (if it was shown at all previously). So I just wracked my brain thinking about it for a few minutes.

You might want to edit your post that quotes mine as it shows my spoiler... lol and yours that states what he received.. ;)

Edit: i clicked on my quoted spoiler tarts why its showing up, my bad

Edited mine, just to remove it (although out of context i'm not sure it means much), although your quote now shows what i said :p

So in the scene with Kurts first kill that was 25 years ago his rifle had a lasersight. Well they certainly didn’t look like that 25 years ago!
