Dexter

I still can't really get into Dexter.

The missus loves it and I have watched the first 3 seasons with her, onto the fourth but after BSG and The Wire I just can't really get into the show. You can guess what is coming a mile away 90% of the time and it just frustrates me.

Will keep trying though :p
 
I saw the ending coming to be honest. The capture of the crazy religious dude was far too uneventful and I knew as soon as it cut to the church rather than the god damn boat with fully prepared kill room that Deb was going to walk in. Doesn't make sense to use the church when it had cops all over it just before...

Slightly disappointed with this season the religion story really didn't capture me. Still worth watching though as I love plenty of things about the show
 
Just saw the last episode of season 4 and whilst I haven't got massively into the show that was the most amazing, unexpected and to be honest heart wrenching ending to pretty any season of any show I have ever watched before. :eek: :(:eek:

The missus is really upset by it and I must admit to be a bit disturbed seeing the kid in the blood as we have a little one of our own.
 
It was obvious she was going to go to the church as soon as the shrink told her to tell him her feelings. He was sent there by her earlier in the show, ergo she knew he'd be there, so went there to tell him.

Still, a good season :)

Season 5.. I literally had to google the plot synopsis to remind myself where it left off, it was so forgettable. At the time it seemed good, but the lack of any real "villain", lets it down. At least when you're talking to someone about it you can say, "season 4.. Trinity" and they know what you mean, but 5 is the worst for me. Followed by 3.

I watched that episode last night as well. Man was I shocked. Really, totally surprised. I did not see that coming.

When I saw it I thought it was a dream, and was expecting him to wake up on the plane to Florida to meet Rita.

I did have them the other way around but changed it :o

My logic was:

4 - gripping story with plausible twists, epic end
2 - Sgt D, niff said
6 - the truth is out. Dexter is more prone to mistakes which keeps it fresh
1 - amazing if too many random killings that don't add to the story
3 - did nothing for me.
5 - no real killer, literally forgot about it.

I'm considering going from the start again, but part of the joy of Dexter are the twists, don't think it will have "The Wire" qualities when re-watching it.
 
Finally watched the last episode of S6.

The twist was very good but I feel a bit weird about the way the story is going with Dexter and Deb's relationship. I know it's not technically incest but it is weird. I wonder if this would've happened if the real actors weren't going out.
