DFI CFX3200 - BIOS ROM Checksum Error - Need help

Hi

Turned PC on this morn, everything was fine. Came home after work and turned comp back on and now i'm getting a:- BIOS ROM checksum error, Detecting floppy drive A media....

Had a look round the net and reports say it could be bios curruption and a no. of other things.

Things i've tried, resetting cmos, changing the batt on the mobo, unplugged all pci devices, unplugged all ide devices, created a bios flash floppy disk as well as unplugging the floppy drive as well. All to no avail. I just get this screen everytime, with no post beep. If i try to hit delete on boot for bios the monitor doesnt even come on.

Is the mobo a gonna or can anybody think of anything i could try?

It does sound like a corrupt bios(seems to be a lot of these lately). Have you tried holding the Insert key down and turning the PC on, keep your finger on the insert key until you hear the bios "beep" then hit the delete key.

if i hold down any key on the keyboard the monitor doesnt come on, tried insert and waited 30 secs, no beep, no nothing.

I'll assume then that the graphics card is ok, if you get a screen without hitting any keys. The only thing to do is hotflash the bios in another mobo.

You sure you made the BIOS flash recovery disk correctly? MSI's website has a good guide on it here:

Yep tried all that, still no luck?

and tried this from the dfi site http://eu.dfi.com.tw/Support/mb_faq_us1.jsp?FAQ_ID=2620&PAGE_TYPE=US&SITE=UK

my screen looks pretty similar to the one in the pic in the link although on my screen it doesnt say 'insert system disk and please enter' has that anything to do with it?
