Got this board yesterday and after some initial problems with windows i got it going. After the bild it booted first time no probs. But now every time i switch off my pc it won't reboot. The two orange lights will remain on, on the board but nothing happens when i press the power button. Any ideas?

Ok so if i switch the psu off for about 3 mins then back on, the pc boots. I'm missing something but can't see it. My psu is an akasa 460 watt, i'm sure this is powerfull enough.

Check your temps it could be overheating, check hsf mount. Have you got the ram in the orange slots if running dual channel? Have you checked all of the power connectors? To name but a few probs that it could be!

Cores are both at about 35 degrees, mounting is fine. All connectors are connected and the board works flawlessly once booted.

just posted this in owners thread.

I've got a problem with this board and the power. I can only boot the pc if i switch off my psu for about 30 secs beforehand. I can play in bios and reset the system and do everything 100% rock solid, but when i've switched off the pc and come back to it later it won't boot until i turn off the power pack for 30 secs.
Anyone got any ideas, power supply is 460 w and should be enough.

One thing i have noticed is that when the pc powers down the little memory led powers off and i'm left with only the led in the bottom corner. After having psu off for 30 secs and switching back on, both these leds are on.

it's the ultra - d version.

saw u post on main dfi thread, as said 99% sure your prob is u psu, dfi boards need more juice than your average m/b & they are VERY fussy with psu & ram.

u psu is on the dfi aviod list. can u try another psu?

Can't try another psu but looks like i'll have to get one. Where can i find this avoid list?

so how many red diagnostic leds are you left with then?

Doesn't get as far as the diagnostic leds. The orange light in the bottom corner dims when i press the power on button. Switch power of for 30 secs at back of psu, switch on again and everything works fine, even getting a decent overclock exept for memory.

as rab said these ultra-d's can be fussy, the booting up of a pc is the most power demanding stage for a psu to cope with. random post issues are usually down to flaky psu's on there way out.
today our main server at my work stopped working, the server pc hadnt been rebooted for a good year! tried to reboot it today and the psu died on us.
