Evening all,

Just a heads up.

During the Christmas period be always aware of scammers trying to fleece us by taking advantage of people waiting for items to be delivered by courier. This evening I received a text message, see snip below;

I am expecting a number of items to be delivered by DHL both from within and outside of the UK. At a quick glance and possibly without 100% concentration this text message could easily be trusted. I had a look at the link within sandbox mode on my computer and the site is very convincing;

www.dhlpost.co.uk

What gave it away was when i put random numbers into the required boxes a number of times, it returned the same page requesting card details and payment of 45p.

I know you guys aren't dull but just thought id share this with you.

This is why i never follow hyperlinks in messages, always just google the legit site and navigate in from there.

Tbf dont get too many convincing scams, just the usual badly faked email and plainly wrong url

the site is fake. they will steal your card numbers and personal info. and they probably will charge you more than 45p :(

Their fraud button even links to the real dhl site and its fraud awareness page.
Nasty boys indeed.

In theory in the uk, is there any easy method of reporting such a page to someone who might be able to investigate it?

Action Fraud are a waste of space they never seem to care when we report thing. Unless its the Government being defrauded you will get no where with them.

I have been ensured this has been passed on to the DHL IT Security by a contact.

The registration details for dhlpost.co.uk can be found by using whois.com. Needless to say, they don't represent DHL.
