Hey there,

Im really confused cause i need a business line at 2mb/4mb and got a quote of around £10,000.

I have just looked at something a friend sent me for a DIA (dedicated internet access) contract and its a lot cheaper?

What is the difference? benefits? etc

Cheers :)

where on god's earth did you get a quote for 10k for a SDSL line at 2mb/4mb

Check out BT and Nildram for SDSL line 2mb both ways should cost you around 250 a month.

The term leased line is used a lot to describe circuits that are actually quite different. For example, some are delivered over a contended infrastructure (Such as frame relay) so you could potentially be fighting for bandwidth depending on how the SP network is built. Ideally, you want a dedicated leased line where you get the full bandwidth you pay for.

The only SP I have experience with is Pipex, try them for a quote on a dedicated link.
