This is one game i can not wait for!

I use to spend hours and hours playing dia 2, i once did a all nighter with my mate on it.
Oh the good ol' days =D
Does anyone know of a official release date yet? isnt it about november time? :mad:
 
i hope this game comes out soon (But at the same time i hope it never comes out)

Diablo 2 was something else, probably my 2nd favorite game of all time (Final Fantasy 7 wins hands down). Spent an unreal amount of time online on this game (i think it may have been my first proper online game actually).

i just know Diablo 3 is going to SERIOUSLY kick ass and be a hell of a lot of fun, i just dont think i can manage the addiction that follows....

Prob take a good few wow players away too imo, Blizzard are one of the only companies who can make brilliant games.

I've been following it since they announced it's release, and I even followed the rumours that were around before then (some of which were actually true :D).

Can't wait until it's release, but I'm not expecting anything until 2010 or even later.

Only once? I played, traded the life outta D2 with 7 lvl 99's and stacks of elite uniques, and pretty much every night was an all nighter :D I actually kept my accounts running up until recently too but i was late by something stupid like 3 days to log in to all chars.. So i lost everything. I was so extremely miffed at losing years worth of my efforts :mad:

As for a release date.. Nobody will ever know unless its official from Blizz, anything else is pure speculation. There is feeling that its gonna be 09/09/09 as its obviousy 666 but thats probably rubbish along with that error hex 'tripe' story saying Diablo3 09 09 09.

I am terribly excited about Diablo 3.. Its my guess the 4th charactor class blizz announce will be the good old 'Hunter' or 'Ranger'.

I announced the new forth character class on a well known Diablo3 site...


Thread: Diablo3 4th Character class finally revealed..

Post went something along the lines of:

Enter the..... 'Tramp' with his: Offensive and Defensive Odor, Begging & Persuasion & hallucinogenics tree etc. Needless to say i got a barrage of hate replies from mewling goth children. Some of which said they felt like 'stabbing me in the heart' which i thought was nice :D

Play have it on pre-order and some sites say 09/09/09 as a release date, but Blizzard wont confirm anything

It'll be a Hunter/Ranger or some cast/melee. That would complete the 5.. We'll get amazons etc later as Jay plans to bring old Diablo 1&2 classes back into D3 after D3's initial release. He said the only past character class that will make it to D3 is the Barbarian, so no Paladin or Amazon i'm afraid :(

Thats to be ignored entirely.. Only Blizz know when it'll be released. Infact Blizz already commented on certain sites like this putting out release dates, ** If we haven't been public on a release you can assume that any release date you've seen anywhere is untrue **

Personaly i am keep a bit of distance from D3. I think it could be a great game but you should keep in mind that the majority of the diablo 2 devs have left blizzard. So this game although part of the diablo story, it could have a compleatly different feel to it, and no longer that the special something that made D2 such a big hit.

I dont mind there being new classes, but tbh i would have much rather had a necro then a witch doctor. And i bet there will be more class changes that would have been better left unchanged.

Yeah i hear what your saying, but people have already played it and confirmed how it 'feels' very much like D2 but vamped up faithfully. The Witch Doctor is effectively pretty much the same as the Necro from D2. Later, the Amazon, Pala and Necro etc will be included in the game as an addon character at some time after the release.

Its worth mentioning that there is a hell of a lot of things going on that are in place to keep that special D2 feeling. The sounds for instance will be pretty much the same but rerecorded as they tried the actual D2 sounds in the D3 environment but they sounded lifeless. Another good thing to note is that its the same sound guy that done D2.. You'd be surprised how many of the original D2 team are working on D3. Even people who helped with D2 and moved away are helping with D3 from afar :)
 
I realy daubt necro will be added because as you said a witch doctor is basicaly a necro. My problem with that though is that IMO i would rather have an army of skeletons and an iron golem then an army of zombies/rotting corpses. I haven't read too much on the upcomming classes, but they said there will be 5 classes initialy, which imo means they will add a melee hybrid (paladin sort of class, perhaps not 'holy' though, it could be any sort of magic + melee), and a ranged non-magic class like an archer/ranger/amazon.
