Although a Pala won't be in the initial release of Diablo3 i wouldn't lose all hope. Its highly possible that one of the 2 classes will be a pala of types, just named something different.

Blizzard have also said that they are looking to bring back the old classes to Diablo3 sometime after Diablo3 is released. All aint lost

I'm really hoping this will be a standalone game and not have lame "micro-transactions for phatter lewtz!" etc. I just want to be able to play this with friends without any kind of additional monetary outlay.

Who likes the new levelling up system, you dont get to choose what you spend your points on strength, dexterity etc its done for you. But the runes in the game play a very big part in creating your character, sounds pretty good.

Well aside from the Barbarian, the developers have stated they don't want to bring back the same classes from D/DII.

Why wouldn't they?

Diabo 3 will attract the diablo crowd and the new MMO will attract its own bunch.

Maybe Beta in 2010 for the MMO, but expect something from Blizzcon.

Diablo 2 held it's posterity for a long time, even today I can pick it up with friends and have a fun bash.

I hope D3 continues the pick up, play and replayability.

Nah the new mmo is years off believe me guys, 2012 i'd say.
They still have 2 more expansions for wow minimum planned, starcraft II, and diablo 3 (be 2010 at the earliest for d3 imo).

Diablo 3 is currently my most wanted title.

Ive been waiting forever for Diablo3, well over 5 years....

There was that game called Mythos, which everyone was hyped at because it was ment to be like Diablo 3, but when D3 was announced the Mythos game seemed to get cancelled.

Mythos was in the Beta stages also, could have been the next Diablo 3!
