** Diablo 4 Thread **

Finally got my bloody Horse, took long enough! So glad this is a one-time thing. They could F right off if we had to do this every league. :D

Shocked how smooth this runs compared to the beta. Comfortably hitting 165 capped fps. Even left my vpn that was set to NL by mistake and experienced zero lag. Had to completely rip up my Rogue melee build when facing that spider brood boss. Only boss I’ve struggled with so far. Almost rq facing it. Playing as an ice archer
Build now and it’s a lot more satisfying.

Welp, just finished the epilogue, tomorrow I'm gonna start farming spirit favours and headed to 50 to then do the skill check dungeon. Really loving it so far, which is odd... Did Blizzard do a good job?

Oh, anyone running this on a HDR monitor? I can't seem to get the settings right for the LG C2.

does it still hit mad fps trying to fry my graphics card on the que and using all 8gig of my vram maxxed out? sapphire pulse 5700 8 gig

was scared to try it after that on the first open beta

Yeah, I turned HDR off.

I couldn't resist anymore!

Forgot to mention how well this works with a controller. I used M/K during the beta but it’s far more comfortable on the controller. Maybe lose a tiny bit of control over the mouse but not by much.

I'm using controller too, I would used mouse and keyboard but the game doesn't have wasd controls and I hate have to click on the screen to make the character move or constantly grip the mouse I don't want RSI or carpal tunnel

The previous diablo game, diablo:immortal has wasd keyboard controls so I don't see why diablo:4 can't either

Anyone else playing one of the harder classes and refuse to go to tier one.

Hah I knew I was stubborn.

Just heading to get my class quest and try and get some aspects for my build to help me out.

I went in at tier 2 with a Sorc last night, was my first time playing. Seems ok so far but only a couple of hours in. Bit confusing with the new way skills and assignments work.

Not sure what i think so far... combat feels clunky, hate that i cant zoom out any further and the UI is way too big. Enemies adapting to your level makes it feel like there is no progression.

Maybe ive just outgrown the series but im rather bored.

Blizzard have a refund policy if you don’t play more than 2 hours. I bought the £80 version and refunded about 1.5 hours in just after the village part. As you say it just felt boring as hell (pardon the pun). The Diablo III demo at least lasted long enough to see how abjectly boring it was. I was getting the same feeling from IV gameplay wise.

I know that 1.5 hours isn’t really long and the gameplay may improve, but I doubt it. The very poorly done and incredibly cheesy intro cutscene did give me a good laugh at least. I don’t think they intended it to be so bad it was funny.

Caved and purchased the £90 edition yesteday as I didnt go out to party last night.

Played for about an hour, definitely will be that chilled Sunday evening game I will play. So far enjoy it and looks good on my OLED TV too.

Playing the barb. Always play the barb. Is good.

Combat is meaty and the weapons feel like they have a lot of heft. The skill system is great. Like D3s but much, much more expansive. Just unlocked my ultimate and I'm struggling to decide what skill to drop. It's a good challenge so far.

I really don't like how everything scales with you though. I know there's uber hard dungeons at the end or whatever, but I enjoyed fighting higher-tier mobs throughout the campaign. Finding legendaries way too early as well.

Overall it's a lot better than I expected it to be. I think Blizzard really ****** up trying to push a mobile game onto the PC community, so they've gone all out with this trying to make amends.

I am enjoying it but it is just exactly what I expected. No more no less.

Edit: Because I don't want to become a 'sweaty try-hard' and start using guides etc. Am I right in thinking that as a Sorc, when comparing weapons, I don't care about DPS and should prioritise things like intelligence as that increases my ability damage which I use all the time.
