** Diablo 4 Thread **

Just started my first warlock... I'm only level 20 but so far so good. It'll take some doing to dislodge dance of knives rogue though, season after season I always end up reverting back to that.

Finally cashed in the season pass that came with the base game... 3 years later
Well, cashed in some of the season pass since they converted it to ingame currency. Ended up with 2.8k tokens, got 200 more from the cosmetic rewards. It cost 1k for the season pass that's one off the top. So good for another 2 seasons if I ever go back for future seasons. Not bad, glad I waited.

Overall I'm done with the season after the cosmetics farm. I've no desire to bounce of mephisto's one shot cheese to finish the rest of the season achievements.
They've improved the game a lot, and all it took was to replicate what worked with D3. It feels more D3.5 than D4.

Oooh I wonder if I have that, I don’t recall ever redeeming it and if I did it was a massive waste lol. Not played it in weeks

The wild thing is you're on a timer to farm the rewards. Started at 60, must be around 40ish days left now. Plenty time, but still ridiculous given you've effectively paid real money for it. It would be like POE removing the ability to finish challenges 2 months into the league.

Yep classic predatory FOMO tactics.

Playing a bit this morning, I don't really have any complaints with the game, and find those that do are usually the sort who spend every minute of their waking life playing them.

Finished the season on my Warlock, overall pretty good expansion with plenty of nice changes. Time to take a break and get ready for the next one.

I just started playing this, got game pass for £1 for 14 days. I played 3 a lot, probably not too the full extent but enjoyed that. Going to see how this plays and maybe consider getting it. Seems a lot of systems and stats\options

I got up to paragon 175 and have now stopped, it was fun but feels like I've hit the grind wall now - new paragon levels are coming very slowly, greater lair keys never drop for me and I'm unable to easily clear pit after tier 40

What class? I was getting plenty of Greater Lair Keys from War Plans etc but didn't really run them as there was no loot that I needed other than mythics, and for mythics I had 3-4 mythic tribute runs which along with the shards I was able to turn in to the mythics I needed. By the end I was running T12 and pit 105 with ease and could easily have pushed on if I could be bothered with incremental upgrades of chasing a 1% here a 1% there.

I think the biggest differences in the end and that will hopefully continue to have a big impact going forward is obviously number one the cube once you start getting mats for it, with the cube you can reroll stats on your gear and target what you need. And the other is no longer needed specific items to unlock the chests at the end of lair bosses, means I can run the bosses I need rather than have to keep waiting for/or farming specific drops. And another is War Plans, War Plans are great, being able to choose your own path and tweak the rewards through the War Plans tree was nice as well.

I’m thinking about getting 2 (infernal edition) on Steam (I know it needs blizzard) the game remains a bit of a mystery to me because when I was a teenager I didn’t have a clue how to play and I found it extremely difficult and difficult past the start area pretty much so it’ll be quite nice to see it.

On IV I'm still enjoying the Warlock with the big AOE spell, I like trying out different combos of abilities etc, no need to look at meta builds unless I get totally stuck but I'll likely move on long before that happens.
