Anyone still playing D2 on Europe I am playing my lvl 87 WW Baba a bit at the moment will gladly help on bosses or start a new char, looking at getting a skelemancer going as I have 4/5 Trang set

well i have the game just need to install it is there any resolution packs ?
dont mind joining in occasionally.. had a few chars in the 90's back i nthe day.. highest was 94 or 96 javazon i think! been a long time! and ive slept since then

There is a res hack, but it does not work that well IMO, the screen mis-aligns when buying or viewing inventory

If this game is released in late 2009 or 2010 wont it look a little dated? It looks like great fun now but who knows what we will come to expect by then.

If a game is good then graphics mean nothing
.WoW is 3.5 years old and even though the expansion is about to come out it already looks dated as does the original un-expanded game. They still get played.
Also, dated is nothing these days to games that are online 100% of the time almost, patches can make a world of difference to even very dated games, e.g. HL2 mods?

Lots of people still play Diablo 2 and that's limited to 800x600. Graphics aren't really that important in this game.

True. But at the time it came out it was actually limited to 640x480 IIRC, and the higher res came later. And by the time it was 800x600, everyone else was at least one res above that. D2 was criticised right from the off for being too low res.
That said, I'm one of the people still playing. Full screen on a 1920x1200 res monitor looks very odd, but the game is so much fun I soon stop caring. Just got my freezadin to level 50.
