Diablo3 !!!!!!!!!!!!

looks pretty awesome.. im gonna predict either Autumn 2009 or Xmas 2008... looks quite polished to me.

I hope they change the graphic style. It's not like Diablo at all. Saying that I don't think we've seen much of the game yet, it looks like very early code still. I just hope they listen to the fans and take on board what they've said if they do decide to release it 18 months from now.

Just out of interest, what level did you get to and what makes you say that levelling up in TQ is non rewarding? Levelling up in TQ is exactly the same as Diablo. Although in TQ you get to choose from two different specialist classes to level up, not forgetting your attribute stats.

I can't actually remember, I'll load it up later and check, I did one playthrough of the game. It just felt like the upgraded skills and skills you unlock weren't as powerful. So in Diablo 2 I always felt like I was looking forward to something, like Whirlwind for example.

Does it feature random terrain generation like the previous games where you can play the game several times and it's laid out differently?

Yea i think it does. Taken from the official FAQ:

Also, Diablo III builds on the random environments of the previous Diablo games by introducing a host of new ways to create random scripted events throughout the game.

On the note about Player specific drops, does that mean that the same item drops for every person in your team and can only be picked up once by each player? Or is it just random items that drop that each individual player can pick up?

Example:

A rare sword drops from a boss. Im in a party of 4 people, so the same rare sword drops 4 times?

or

The rare sword is only visable to a certain player and the others get other items?

I was dissapointed by it and thought it was no where near as good as San Andreas. But millions of others didn't think so. But the size of the game is immense and it took like, 3 years and 4 or 5 months to complete.

I don't think blizzard would ever be happy releasing a game as bad as GTA4, they'll want to take their time and tune it to the best of their abilities rather than say "Well, it's acceptable so lets ship it".

not really into these type of games but it looks the dogs nuts and good fun to play , might have to give it a go when i comes out

Think I might pick up D2 in town tomorrow - and play windowed - one thing though - Vista keeps changing graphic settings to 'basic' or whatever - and when playing, there are lots of...primary colours? Everything looks a little strange (rocks having blues, greens and purple dots all over them) :S
