Dictionary App for Ubuntu?

The default dictionary supplied with Ubuntu needs the internet to connect to. However for me this isn't very useful.

I need someone to recommend a dictionary app that they have used and found to be good. Apple have a great one they supply with Leopard and Snow Leopard and I really miss it.

Can someone recommend one, preferably one I can apt-get.

im using it on windows and ubuntu
and you can run it offline all you need is to download the dictionary files from sourceforge : http://sourceforge.net/projects/stardict/files/

if you have windows place the download files after extraction to :

C:\Program files\stardict\dic\

on ubuntu:
/usr/share/stardict/dic

ubuntu uses aspell and it should have downloaded the correct dictionary for you, check synaptic to make sure.
