second version of the
first shot I
love!.
Tbh the very red cast of the first iteration was putting me off - even if it was the natural light, I wasn't too fussed on it.
The second version is fantastic though. The colder blues of the sea contrast beautifully with the still very red sky - plus the fauna is much more nutral, pleasing & punchier.
I like the clouds
I would have perhaps toyed with the RAW a little to try and get some more detail out of the rock in the lower left. At the moment I just feel it's neither here nor there - minor complaint though
Only thing I may have tried differently (
had it not been such a precarious shot!) is slightly faster shutter speeds - even if it meant, because of the dodginess of setting up filters etc.. in such an awkward position - bumping up the ISO. Having said that, the image currently has a very calm feel - having a long, but slightly shorter exposure can add a ton more drama, but it may not have been suited to the shot.
The second and third are lovely shots, but for me just pale in comparison to the third. The last one I would have shifted the whole scene to the left a touch - bringing in more of the cliffs surrounding the cove, and popping the island in a more even spot. Slightly harsher shadows on the cliff face may work a bit better here, too. The water droplets on the lens are actually kinda cool
Well done for getting up
