Did the weather delay shipping for anyone?

I am waiting on a ups item thats been delayed 2 days running from Luton (nuff said). Also my 360 shipped back from MS last week and still hasnt arrived.... sux tbh

altho I have been working from home last 3 days aswell so small price to pay haha

Mine didn't appear to arrive today either.

The order has been dispatched according to OC. But, I've not received anything yet...

Been over a week since I RMA'd my monitor too.

yeah turns out that it wasnt the weather and i was right about my mobo going to someone else, probably went to someones mate :(

I cant believe that actually, utterly annoying and as its suposed to be next week at the earlyest that stock is in the fact that i booked next week off work to put this system together is now pointless.

even worse is because i NEED a mobo with its 7th highest slot free to take a double slot gfx card over the hdd cage in my lian li case. and that was the only mobo that qualified.

i really would have liked at the very least a call or an email on monday to atleast inform me of the situation.

..this just gets better...

the dfi 790fxb-m2rsh is now no longer listed on OCUK... no out of stock as you would expect. but totally removed. gotta be discontinued no mention of that when i rang before and i was asured it would be in stock again next week.

maybe im ranting a bit. im not in the best of moods after trying to sort out the network problems of an entire building literally all week. think ill send a webnote see what is actually going on

Sounds a bit rubbish mate, would've expected some communication if an expected delivery was delayed... :(

EDIT: And now the above! That really does suck. Surely there must be AN alternative... otherwise you're just being forced to a competitor's.

Got to say the only criticism i could give ocuk's customer service at the moment is the fact they don't notify you if something you have ordered goes out of stock before your order is put together.
Ordered one of the sapphire 1gb 4870s on saturday (when it said instock) to be delivered this thursday. Rang up today to check and the guy said they were all gone already, so instead a powercolour 1gb 4870 is on its way to me at no extra cost:cool:

i have to say they have great customer service usually on the phone anyway.

this really has just messed up my entire month though. i have next week off work which i actually booked to sort out this build and configure the crap out of it. that may be pointless now, the week after that i cant take as its half term and i have a list of work a mile long to get done while the classrooms are empty in a college IT departmet which has half of the staff it should have.

so yeah this was my stress relief week after putting up with a nightmare job for the last 3 months and now the vain on my forhead is actually throbing.

meh maybe it will come and i have nothing to worrie about, i'll wait till my webnote gets a reply and try not to rant

Order Monday 4pm delivered Tuesday PM - great stuff OC

Well, gee, thanks for that...

Anyway, it's not really OC's fault, they dispatched at more or less the day they should have. However, it's the delivery company who would appear to be at fault, as OC has sent me the 'Your order has been dispatched!' email and all that jazz.

Harsh luck. Happened to me with an B-grade Acer G24 once.

I was offered 'goodies' for the inconvenience, but, never receded such 'goodies' not that I can complain, I eventually got an Acer G24 and the guy was nice enough.

I also tried to get the DFI DK 790FXB M2RSH, no joy though, I couldn't find it anywhere in the UK (anywhere that I looked, obviously) so I settled on the older DFI UT 790FX M2R in the end, other than some initial issues with it miss-reading my memory speeds and and not wanting to even let me flash the bios (I got around it with some manual ram timings prior to flashing to the updated bios), I haven't regretted it yet ...then again, it's only been a day. But if I am not regretting it within the day it's usually a fairly good sign in my experience. I'm not sold on the SB750 south ridge anyway tbh, I don't think it's that important for a PhII. I have not tried overclocking yet, I'm going to run in for a week first.

The weather did not seem to hold my order up at all though, got it frist thing this morning.

two different courier services today couldnt deliver because of "adverse weather conditions"
roads in my area were fine really
didnt stop me from getting two busses out to them both and demanding they sift through thousands of packages to retrieve mine!
funny cos at the DHS depot in croydon someone else was queueing for a parcel from overclockers too

well kind of sorted this out now. had to make another selection if i wanted it before the end of the month, so went for the Asus M3A79-T Deluxe. its not ideal. the 7th highest slot isnt the first gfx port so i have to retire the drive cage in the botom of my lain li case to fit duel slot cards and spend £40 on a drive bay adapter to mount my harddrives in.

the guy in sales was good enough to knock a few quid off the mobo so i only ended up paying £11 extra on the order. ironicly the DFI mobo is now re listed at a greater price and is actually now only £5:75 less than the ASUS so i dont really know what to make of that.

i suppose i atleast got the prices i ordered at last week or i would be paying £555:39 as opposed to £515:65 + £11.

tbh i am just glad its over and sorted, it comes tomorrow so i just hope to hell there are no other problems. if anyone at overclockers should read this though... you should really think about putting in some kind of system to inform customers when there orders have been messed up and not leave it down to the customer to call up 5 days after placing the order to find out what is going on (a call, an email). you may also want to look at your stock controle to decrease the chances of this happening in future.

I'm sure i'll use overclockers again but this order really has left a bad taist in my mouth.
