Did you do a dissertation at university?

I did, as I studied History.

Started off as a really daunting prospect, and was a challenging few months while I did the research and formed the basis of my arguments and opinions, but it ended up being something I was really proud of.

I did one for my BA in Politics but it was optional, it was that or do a year long "project" module which was just research of sorts. Hate political research so chose against it.

Have to do one this year for the MSc too which will be fun as they are overall good fun (if a bit tiring)

I did one spent a solid 3 days working on it, which is not long compared to the people who spent months on theirs. I can't think of anyone who didn't have to do one at my uni.

3 days!?

I do two dissertations. One as a research project during my placement year, and then a final year research project with dissertation next year back at uni. Few months research, few months in the lab, and then onto the write up :(

I did the writing and mastering of my ug one in 4. It's pretty easy to do if you understand what you are typing about and have done the research before hand (then again it was 4 days of 20 hours typing, wasn't well afterwards)

Im doing mine at the moment. Its 3/4 written but I still have a couple of weeks of labwork to finish off the last section.

Probably a good 3-400 hours work gone into it by the time im finished. Then I get to re-write it for publishing. The joys!!
