Did you think this?

Think he was joking doesnt look like he even has a PS3.

Oh yeah!! (at work, so not too much time to read things that carefully!). :o

As has been said before, there's so little to choose between them now in the gfx department, it really just boils down to a choice between the platform exclusives and/or the blu-ray issue.

i dont know if its me or not but i think my ps3 has a lot better sound quality than my 360.

The PS3 came out later and has better hardware. I have both Xbox 360 and PS3 and clearly games like COD4 look better on the PS3. However, I only use my PS3 as a media player, BR and DivX as its interface is easy to navigate using the PS3 remote control. The XBox is much better to pick up and play online, so I play Halo 3 against others on that.

My PC is where the serious gaming happens, even prefer Mass Effect on the PC as load times are shorter and graphics better.

Proof please :D

PICS OR IT NEVER HAPPENED !!!!

I own both I have to say I do think some of the PS3 games look better but then again theres some Xbox games I think look great too so meh

With regards to excitement and then the meh feeling........ You are too spoilt for choice ! :D

Go play a C64

i had to save up my own money to get my 360, as for proof there has been many game comparison videos between the 360 and ps3. there was also the GameTrailers scandal where they used PS3 footage of 360 gameplay...i think the game was Grid.

Suppose it depends what you came from really, I personally made the jump to consoles from PC gaming, and the graphics weren’t that amazing to me, mind you, fight night did wow me with all that slow mo stuff :D

I’ve never really been wowed by either the 360 or PS3, from a hardware point of view though, as it’s just a games machine to me really – sure the PS3 has HD video, but I’m one of those people who still argue it’s not too different from DVD :p

Scort.

I guess, but then Microsoft was flogging on cheap HDD's for those purchasing arcades. For me I dont need a wireless adapter so that never bothered me :p

End of the day enjoy both, I never see why people feel they need to prove why one console is better than the other

Then again I has the monies to afford both and a fairly decent PC. So I get the best of all worlds :D

Well i dont feel the need to prove one is better than the other because to me they are as good as each other , both have good and bad points .

@the OP, No, I didn't feel like that when I had my PS3, I had motorstorm and RfoM, and they looked the same as games on the 360..

I think the only thing proven is that they are both as powerful as each other, with different strengths/weaknesses..

One thing I will say for the PS3, is they have a handful of extremely lavished over titles, Sony have given some developers the time the produce one or two stand out titles that do look amazing. Since no developer on the 360 is given the same sort of timescales, we probably won't see this type of thing from MS.

Depends on the games to be fair, MGS4 and Uncharted to me are still some of the best graphics I've seen to date not just on 1 console, Where as the best graphics for me on the 360 still lay with Mass Effect and GOW, and they arent as good.

I often go to my friends and use his PS3, And so jump between my 360 and his PS3 often, and some games sometimes do seem to look better, But others dont.

So like I said, Depends on the game and TV setup obviously

edit: I just thought, There was a time when we were both playing through COD4 and we decided that looked better on the PS3. :p

Gears of War 1/2??

Anyway I have both and love them. Though I'm mainly a pc gamer so neither have bowled me over in the gfx department. (Though Gears, Uncharted and MGS are pretty)

I think I can give an impartial view of graphics of both consoles now, due to no longer playing on either apart from the occasional co-op with the lad.

My son has an elite in my house and I bought him a PS3 and 15 odd games for crimbo. I cant ignore the fact that the PS3 seems to have more graphic anomolies (jaggies/flickers etc) than the 360, most visible in a lot of games cut scenes and in game with some.

Both are connected to the same screen via HDMI, I felt a little underwhelmed when I first fired up the PS3, LBP (though a fantastic game) suffers from noticeable jaggies. We have been sitting rather close to the screen so that doesnt help. Uncharted is stunning but again I notice some graphical quirks especially on the cut scenes.

That being said I like console in general, its silent and feels quality, he's playing on it more than his 360 now so that must say something.

As I say, I love my 360 (although she is now collecting dust :( ) - and I cant **** off what it does offer -its just that the supposed wow feeling I should have got a couple of years ago when I bought the console, just wasnt there....

The PS3 a console id not thought of getting, but got as a surprise gift from the misses, actually makes me sit up and notice it. OK Motorstorm PR is probably more polished as its something to do with Sony iirc? But R2 stands up well against GOW and even more so online, 60 players ffs- magic, never had that intensity since BF2

I suppose im lucky in a sense that I have the best of both worlds (well 3 if I include getting the odd PC game) - could be a pricey year :(

may of been the tv or resolution you were playing but graphic wise it has been proven that ps3 is better

I just don't know where to start with this other than stating you're just plain wrong and a fool to believe whatever source you had.

Felt the same, only I got a PS3 first and then 360.

Well, it actually went:

Wii for 1 boring year
Traded Wii in for PS3
1 year of HD goodness and enjoyment
Purchase 360
Played reguarly for 2 weeks
Back to PS3 whilst 360 sits on desk unplugged.
