Die Hard Appreciation Thread!

Not a big fan of the second one I'm afraid, the original is legendary and I enjoyed the 3rd a lot too. Can't remember much about the 4th though about from some ridiculous stunt where a car flies up in the air to take out a helicopter...

NOW I HAVE A MACHINEGUN.
HO - HO - HO

I watched Die Hard the other night while doing the ironing. I set my Facebook status as "Vonhelmet is doing the ironing and watching Die Hard. Yippee-ki-yay creased shirts." and my brother commented with "Now I have a steam setting. Ho ho ho."

I know what I will be watching tonight.... DH Box set.

Die Hard 1 is by far my favourite.

2/3 are very good.

4 is just..... a good action film but that's about it.

I have to say that I think Lethal Weapon is a better Christmas movie, but Die Hard is awesome, none the less. :p

Took the kids to one of the "Santas Grotto" things last week, they had "Jingle Bell Rock" on the PA system.

Was thinking to myself "what have coked up hookers jumping off balconies got to do with christmas?"

:D

has to be No. 2

It's in an airport! so much more interesting than some building with some bankers being used as hostages.

I still reckon he should have dumped the wife and gone for the drink with the check-in girl. Merry Christmas!

The worst ones on tonight, I'll still watch it though.

Die Hard 4.0(Film,2007)
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 on
E4 from 9:00pm to 11:30pm

Bruce Willis returns once again as John McClane, the wisecracking, old-school New York cop whose impressive CV includes rescuing hostages captured in a swanky LA plaza and saving passengers on a hi-jacked plane circling Washington. In this violent thriller, he's now up against a group of terrorists threatening to hack their way into the US computer infrastructure. When they crash the stock market, sending the economy into meltdown and causing panic on Wall Street, McClane turns to young hacker Matt Farrell. Farrell's wanted by the FBI, but he's also potentially the only man who can help figure out the cyber criminals' next move. When the terrorists respond by kidnapping McClane's daughter Lucy, it's time for the anxious father to load up his ammo clips and go get the bad guys - at the very moment that the country's descending into complete chaos.

Love all the Die Hard films, number 1 is definitely my favorite.

Roll on 2013...

:D

Got to say, I don't hold much hope for that, Director's last outing was crap in Max Payne, and a bunch of average other films.

Writer, whilst I actually enjoyed the A-team remake and Swordfish, Wolverine Origins and Hitman were two of the most retarded films I've seen.

These 2 together hardly breath's any confidence for me, that and it will no doubt be a 12A, when it should at the very least be a 15.

I really like Die Hard 4, personally I find it hard to rank each of them but if I had to I'd probably put the 3rd one as my least favourite. Got the need to get them all on Blu Ray now...

4.0 was one of the worst movies that Bruce Willis has ever done. I'm stunned that anyone actually rates it.
