One of the clamps holding no3 injector in my 2002 yaris decided to fail the other morning, so while im awaiting a new one to come from Toyota i was thinking about getting all 4 injectors reconditioned while the car is out of action as its done 102k miles now so im sure they're not factory fresh any more..

Does anyone have any experience/recommendations of somewhere to go for that? Most places seem to work on the idea of posting your injectors to them where they inspect then get in touch with you regarding cost etc, just want one that isn't a cowboy and actually knows what they're doing.

Just buy recon injectors, for what its going cost to get yours tested and reconned and not to mention the down time it would be just easier imo.

Get them done by an official agent for whichever manufacturers injectors are fitted - they'll probably be Bosch or Denso on a Toyota.

There are plenty of people "reconditioning" injectors these days who are doing nothing more than cleaning the tips.

Ask if they can provide a before and after printout of the test results. If they can, they've got the proper kit for doing this type of work. A proper reconditioning service should be charging you a fixed price for the work because they'll be doing the manufacturers prescribed reconditioning procedure every time, not seeing if they look alright and giving the tips a clean and charging you less.

A proper service will be around £100 per injector.
