difference between 16mb and 32mb cache

No difference at all on a storage drive. 32mb cache might be of little more use if it was a windows drive though.

was just about to ask the same question about the WD640, The 32MB Cache is only an extra £7 the question is.

Is it a waste of £7?

The 32MB version has a longer waranty, I still wouldn`t bother though depends what`s important to you.

3 years on the 16MB version is still decent, especially considering the rate that technology moves. For £7 though, it is probably worth it.
