Difference between GTX560 and GTX560Ti?

The GTX560 only has 336 Stream Processor, whereas the GTX560Ti has 384 Stream Processor.

So the GTX560Ti is faster, whereas the GTX560 is more like a slightly beefed up GTX460.

Subjectively, similarly clocked GTX 560 and GTX 560 Ti are next to indistinguishable when playing Crysis 2. One advantage of the GTX 560 Ti is that it is available in NVidia reference form, e.g. as the EVGA GTX 560 Ti PFB or SC. The reference cooler is, on the whole, better than the the Gigabyte, Asus and MSI alternatives which do not cool that much better, can be noisier, and exhaust too much hot air within the case.

i will be getting a sparkle card as this is all our supplier has in my budget, and i need to buy from them as i cant afford it until my cards sell, so will be on a kind of 'credit' system.

I would overclock a graphics card only if it was water cooled, or had something like an Accelero XTREME Plus on it. The temperature can get out of control way too easily.

ok, so does that rule the GTX460 being ruled out, even with the extra ram?
i really want to get it ordered today so its here tomorrow.

The GTX 560 Sparkle is SXX5601024D5S-MH and appears to have a slightly modified GTX 460 reference cooler. Probably all right, but I would prefer the SX560T1024D5-MH.

Had not seen the price difference, too much. The SXX5601024D5S-MH should be fine.

P.S. The "S" might be for a slight factory overclock.

P.S.2. Yep, this is what it is, 900 vs 810MHz.

Outstanding Performance Power Consumption Ratio
Thanks to the improved 40nm core manufacturing process at TSMC, now the SPARKLE GeForce GTX 560 Graphics Cards have outstanding performance power consumption ratio than ever. Compared with previous generation products, the SPARKLE GeForce GTX 560 Graphics Cards also feature a special cooling system and a hardware power monitor circuit which deliver higher performance/Watt ratio. Tested in SPARKLE R&D lab, the SPARKLE GeForce GTX 560 Graphics Cards have the same power consumption as GeForce GTX 460 graphics card, but providing 28% more performance in today hottest games.

28% increase in performance over GTX460? really

Meeting Overclocker's Dream
The SPARKLE GeForce GTX 560 Graphics Cards provide higher overclocking capability to overclockers. Tested in SPARKLE R&D lab, the core speed of SPARKLE GeForce GTX 560 Graphics Cards can be overclocked over 10%, bringing blazing frame rates in hottest DX 11 games, such as Civilization V, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X 2 and so on.
10% oc bring it to near the 900MHz? or is it still not worth it?

are we leaning towards the GTX560 at the cheaper price?

Well, they have the same cooler on the 810 and 900MHz versions, so it should be possible to overclock the cheaper 810 to 900MHz. Still, you will need to run FurMark for at least 15min and keep an eye on the temperatures to be sure that the cooler can cope (which cannot be guaranteed).

would the 90MHz (thats the only difference i can see) be a noticable difference?
also, would one of these manage games at 1920x1080 with ease?
obvs i have 2xHD6850 which should beat a single card, but with the issues i think a single card is best option.

I have run Crysis 2 @ 1920x1080 and max everything on a 830MHz Gigabyte GV-N56GOC-1GI, and it was fine, apart from the fact that when the card was hitting 80 deg, the plastic frame was distorting a bit and one of the fans was beginning to hit it, producing an annoying rattle, due to which the card went back.

so these cards run hot?

i have crysis 2 on max @ 1920x1080 (i think) and it seemed playable. i just have issues with AA and on some games i get like a pause, or it looks like it jumps like 3 or 4 frames for no reason.
