Difference between the WD hard disks?

The RE2 has a longer warranty, MTBF and has TLER enabled (you can enable it on the non-RE2 drives anyway). It's just the 'enterprise' version.

The Samsung F1 is £90 (or less), faster and doesn't really use much more electricity.
