I'm trying to decide between the All in Wonder X1800XL and the X1800XT. I know the GPU and memory of the XL is clocked lower but how much "real world difference" does it make ?
I always run games at 1600 * 1200 as that's the native res on my moniter. I never use FSAA but often have AA on at 4* on my current 6800GT card. I'm not a heavy gamer but when i do play a game then i like it to look good !! :)

I can get both cards for around the same price (£160ish) and it will be getting used with an AMD 4000+ SD core

XT has better memory and there cores are clocked faster (haven't heard of many people getting XL to XT speeds) out of curiosity is £190 overpriced for XFX 7800GTX?

If its a 256mb then yes, as the x1800 XT is faster and only costs £160. :)

If its the 512mb one, then thats a good price as it comes between the x1800 XT, and the x1900 XT. :)

The X1800XT is the better games card & would be my choice.
If you need the extra features offered by the All in Wonder X1800XL, then its still a good card - equal to the 7800GT in performance.

googled "X1800XL vs X1800XT review"

1st result showed in game figures between the two at various resolutions and FSAA etc.
If you can get both at the same price, and in your own post dont seem to focus on the AIW functionality at all, why would you not go for the XT?

Thanks guys, looks like XT it is then :D.
I thought the AIW features would be handy but probably wouldn't use them that much in the long run. I'll always play games i guess !! :D
