Could anyone give me some insight as to why these monitors are all different prices? Is there much difference between them to warrant the extra cost? I know the Benq is slightly bigger but ignore that.

Samsung S23A700D 23"

Samsung S23A750D 23"

Benq XL2420T 24"

Also whichever one of these I buy along with a new rig what adapters/cables do I need for it to run at 120Hz? Will be for a GTX670.

Cheers!

S23A700D is cheaper than the S23A750D because it isn't quite as stylish as the S23A750D, you're paying for the casing/stand. The BenQ is more expensive because it has a height adjustable stand and a lot of OSD features.

120Hz can be done over either displayport or dual-link DVI. All screens have displayport and only the BenQ has a DVI option on top of that. I think they all come with a cable but keep an eye on if it's mini displayport or the full sized one, might need a converter for that. Another difference between the BenQ and the Samsung is that they Samsungs are glossy while the BenQ is matte.

Oh right if you want to use 3D you're better off with the BenQ as the Samsungs are intended to be used in combination with an AMD card for 3D while the BenQ uses the NVIDIA 3D standard. The BenQ doesn't come with 3D glasses however and those aren't exactly cheap. The Samsung can still do a 2D->3D conversion by using Samsungs "3D HyperReal engine" which can be quite hit and miss from what I've understood.

Thanks for the reply, anything else? Looks like I'm going to be spending more than I thought.
